Hard drives not included — we source the right drive for your retention needs during the quote process. A 4TB drive runs about $80–100 and gives you two to four weeks of footage from 4 cameras. Storage is cheap. Losing footage because you didn't have enough isn't.

Most security systems go dark during a power outage — exactly when you need them most. A burglar trips your breaker, and Ring goes blind. Your ADT system loses connection. Your Vivint cameras stop recording.

We install UPS battery backup systems that keep your cameras and NVR recording through power outages. Your UniFi network stays up, your cameras keep watching, and your NVR keeps storing footage — even when the lights go out.

A residential UPS for your camera system adds $200–$500 to your installation. It's the difference between "the cameras were down during the break-in" and "we got everything on video."

Most UniFi cameras use PoE (Power over Ethernet) — one ethernet cable handles both power and data. No outlet hunting, no batteries to charge at 2 AM, no wireless dropout at the worst possible time. Cleaner install, more reliable operation. For locations where cable runs aren't practical, we'll tell you honestly and discuss options.
Yes. The UniFi Protect app is free, works on iOS and Android, and gives you live view, motion alerts, and footage playback. No subscription required. We set it up for your whole household during installation — you won't be left staring at a QR code and guessing.
Depends on the brand and what you want. Many cameras that support RTSP streams can be integrated with Frigate NVR and Home Assistant — giving you local AI detection without replacing hardware you already own. 2TB covers approximately two weeks of continuous recording from four cameras at standard quality — more if you use motion-only recording mode.
